It's been a while. If you posted anything of extreme interest since my last post (about the beginning of November maybe?) and before thanksgiving, I couldn't get to my friends page to read it somewhat easily. Let me know!
What's been going on in my life? As you might remember, I moved, and my desktop computer died in the same weekend. Total suckage. The computer is a motherboard problem. Nothing to do about that for a while, especially since it's an ollllldddd machine. So I'm using my laptop. Got an analog monitor cable so I can still watch movies on my normal monitor. Learning how to keep fewer windows open due to the resources drain.
The housewarming was good. Seems I forgot to invite a whole bunch of people what the the computer dying and trying to get stuff unpacked, and then shoving stuff into the closet despite the fact that it was not yet unpacked. Got a proper bed over Thanksgiving. Rather comfortable. Got the sheets etc for it on Black Friday too. Nothing like shopping at 5am! Love it! (just that once a year, mind you. Don't ask me to go to Wal-Mart with you at 5am unless it's for something REALLY cool!)
Watched a whole bunch of movies since Blockbuster online now do the whole "trade your online rentals for an in-store rental and we'll mail you your next online rental asap" thing. It's lovely. Last night I started watching Dr. Strangelove, and fell asleep in it... Again. Last time was years ago when Erin and i were watching it when she still lived with her parents in GA. Hope to see the end of this movie tonight.
As for work... Field trip today. Wore me out. And now I have to deal with them for the REST of the WEEK. hooray. I miss June. (the month, not any person called June.) Reading Constant Gardener in my "free" time right now. Actually took a walk by the river yesterday evening with it. Sat against a tree and read for a while. Would have liked to stay out longer, and when I was by the river I was rather in the woods -- did not know how far I would have to walk to get out of the woods. The sun was setting, which was beautiful. Don't want to get lost now, do I?

Apparently I have been watching a tad too many crime shows (CSI, CSI:NY, CSI:Miami, NCIS)... Yesterday morning I woke up trying to solve a crime. And somehow my alarm clock was involved in the whole thing... Can't remember how. But every time I woke up I expected there to be people around helping me solve this crime. Most confusing. I did not sleep well. So yesterday I downloaded a bunch of Family Guy episodes (haven't seen much of the show for a while). Thought that this would help me fix my problem. So instead when I woke up this morning, I found myself playing some messed up version of Baseball. Not quite as confusing, although I think it is the first time I've dreamt of baseball. Maybe somehow related to watching Eureka last night, knowing that Sherriff Carter is obsessed with baseball? Who knows?!? Anyhow, work is going as usual. Nothing new to report (that I care to anyway). Have 23 kids in my class now. About equal boys and girls. On the way home today I decided to take a long detour to the car dealership and get my 6k mile service done. One hour and ten minutes later I arrive. Have oil changed and tires rotated. Stop by Michaels. This past weekend I started a grey and black shawl, and THEN realized I didn't have enough of this black yarn to do the whole thing. Was positive that this particular color of Caron Simply Soft black was purchased at Michaels. Well, I was wrong (as I found out). So tomorrow I'll have to stop by Joanns and see if they have it. If they don't, it's Wal-Mart. If no one has it, I'll say fuckit and change blacks and hope that the grey will mask the color change. (or maybe I'll get REALLY obsessive and try to find it online!) Current Location: home, finally. Current Mood: tired
